Today is Bonifacio Day and it's the Grand Opening Ceremonies of 30th SEA Games. The opening ceremony of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games took place on the evening of Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Philippine Arena, in Bocaue, Bulacan. The event commenced at 19:00 PST (UTC+08:00) and ended at 20:35 local time. Floy Quintos was the creative director of the ceremony.

Andreij observes that from the pick-up point going to the venue all people along the way noticed them. Everyone is giving them a sweet smile, and it was a happy feeling. Everyone along the streets waved their hands while the athletes wave their hands back. View from the bus, Andreij sees everyone wearing their best smile and warmly cheering for all of them. As I look at his file pictures all of them are all happy feelings, the sincerest joy coming from their hearts is overwhelming. I felt goosebump upon seeing my son wearing the Barong and more when I saw them in the group wearing the symbol of the Philippine Pride our Philippine flag on their sleeves and shoulder is another honor and inspiration to represent our country in his best ability to win.

Renowned fashion designer Francis Libiran was tasked to design the barong the athletes will use as parade uniform in the opening rites. He gave a glimpse of the barong in a post on his social media account.
